In this detailed tutorial, you can see how to remove the dashboard from the Volkswagen Golf 4. The first step is to remove the glove box and all the various cover panels, such as those under the steering wheel and the side panels, each held by Torx screws.

Next, move on to the air vents and start unscrewing the various screws that secure the dashboard to the main frame.

For the centre console, you need to remove each element as shown in the video. Finally, after removing the instrument cluster, the steering wheel, and the last screws, the dashboard is ready to be removed.
