Replacing the gear knob gaiter on a car may seem like a daunting task, but it can be easily done yourself. First, obtain a new gaiter that fits your car model.

Now proceed to remove the gaiter by pulling it out of its installation. Using pliers, loosen the metal ring near the gear knob; you may need to apply some force during this process to free the gaiter.

Proceed with the installation of the new gaiter: using the pliers, tighten the tab of the metal ring and insert the gaiter into the housing, ensuring that it fits properly.
