Replacing the Key Battery on Volkswagen Passat

Model: Volkswagen Passat B8, 3G, MK 8 - Years 2014-2023

Remove the manual key from the casing. Then insert it into the space left free by the casing, as shown in the video. At this point, gently pry it open by bending it slightly, as shown in the video: you will notice that the top part of the casing will start to detach. Now, to avoid bending the key too much, it is advisable to use a small flat screwdriver to complete the procedure of opening the casing. Once the small cover is removed, use the same small screwdriver to remove the exhausted battery and insert the new one you have purchased (it is a CR2032 and costs very little).
