Replacing the Air Conditioning Compressor on the Volkswagen Jetta 2.5

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 5, A5 - Years 2005-2010

In this guide, we will go through the steps to remove and replace the air conditioning compressor on the Volkswagen Jetta. First, lift the vehicle and start by removing the serpentine belt, loosening the tensioner with a socket; then remove the fixing screws of the pipe located near the air conditioning compressor using a Torx key, as shown in the video. At this point, unscrew the compressor screws to remove it, disconnecting the electrical connector; replace it with a new one and reassemble everything!
