How to Reset the Oil and Inspection Service on a Volkswagen Tiguan

Model: Volkswagen Tiguan 5N, MK 1 - Years 2007-2016

To reset the service on the Volkswagen Tiguan, use the controls on the steering wheel and enter the settings menu on the display in the centre of the speedometer, scroll down until the message "service" appears and switch off the vehicle. To reset the service: press and hold the "set" button to the right of the speedometer and press the button to start the engine; the message "reset service oil" will appear on the central display of the speedometer and press the "ok" button on the steering wheel to confirm, then switch off the ignition. After resetting the oil service, turn on the ignition and note that the inspection needs to be reset. To reset the inspection: activate the hazard warning lights (four indicators), press the brake pedal, hold down the "set" button and press the button to start the engine; the message "reset inspection service" will appear on the central display of the speedometer and press the "ok" button on the steering wheel to confirm. After resetting the service and inspection, switch off the hazard warning lights and finally switch off the vehicle.
