How to Replace the Battery in the Volkswagen Key

In this video, you will learn how to replace the battery in the Volkswagen key. Start by opening the metal key blade used to manually unlock the car. You can do this by simply pressing the small metal button on the surface. Once done, you will notice that the plastic casing of the key consists of two parts: an upper and a lower part. Gently pry in the recess of the lower part of the key and remove it from its housing. At this point, you will find the key battery located exactly in the centre of its housing. Using a small flat-head screwdriver, remove the battery and replace it with a new one.
