In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the brake light switch in a Volkswagen Golf MK4, a very simple and quick operation. First, you will need a Torx T20 key and, of course, a replacement switch. Start by unscrewing the screws that secure the lower dashboard panel, then remove it and locate the switch, which is situated at the top of the brake pedal. To remove it, grasp the switch, turn it slightly counterclockwise, and pull it outwards. Once done, disconnect the connector, attach it to the replacement, and secure it in place.
