Replacing the Cylinder Head Gasket

After machining the cylinder head, always check its flatness using a straight edge and a feeler gauge to exclude any deformations; repeat the same operation on the cylinder block. Once the surfaces are confirmed to be perfect, clean the threads of the cylinder head bolt holes, ensuring no debris falls into the cylinders. Finally, position the new gasket and then the cylinder head, tightening the bolts in a cross pattern to the correct torque, using both a torque wrench and a standard spanner.
