In this video tutorial we will see how to remove and replace the tappet and valve cover and the gasket on the Volkswagen Golf Mk5 1.6 TDI, but also on the Polo and Jetta. First we open the engine hood of our car and remove the upper engine guard; then we go to remove the fixing screws of the upper cover of the valves and disconnect the metal levers that we find at the bottom, as shown in the video. At this point we remove the wiring of the aluminum pipes to remove the valve cover; we remove and replace the old gasket!
