Diesel Injection System Cleaning

Model: Volkswagen Passat B6, 3C - Years 2005-2010

If you want to clean the injectors and the injection system using an additive, rather than adding it to the fuel tank, you can bypass the diesel filter and feed the engine directly with the additive. To access the diesel filter, first remove the plastic cover on the engine: the diesel filter is located right next to the oil filter housing. Disconnect the hoses connected to the filter: connect the two inlet hoses together while connecting two lengths of hose to the two outlet hoses, which will then be placed in a container filled with additive (apply a filter to the supply hose). Start the engine so that it can draw in the additive. After this operation, it is recommended to also replace the filter.
