Cleaning the fuel tank and the entire fuel system is a maintenance task that is often overlooked but can have serious repercussions on engine operation, from simple clogging of the filter and/or low-pressure pump to the failure of the injectors or high-pressure pump. Since the addition of biodiesel to fossil fuel has been mandated, the risk of algae formation inside the tank and thus the fuel system has become increasingly frequent; therefore, it is advisable to periodically use the appropriate additives, especially after carrying out a complete cleaning of the system.
