Removing the Front Shock Absorber

To remove the front shock absorber, position the vehicle on suitable axle stands and remove the front wheel; then open the bonnet to access the strut tops; disconnect the hoses attached to the mounts on the shock absorber casing, unscrew the mounting bolt of the shock absorber to the hub (there is a type of clamp) and extract the bolt and release the clamp (it may be necessary to also remove the drop link to lower the suspension more easily); accessing the engine bay, unscrew the nut securing the shock absorber shaft to its mount and extract it from its seat.
