The failure of the silent bloks (rubber bushings) of the swinging arms of the front suspension is a fairly recurring defect: it is possible to remedy this failure either by replacing the entire arm (it is also available in the after market at reasonable prices) or by resorting to to a repair involving only the replacement of the bushings. In this case, however, it will be necessary to disassemble the oscillating arm and have a threaded bar, washers, as well as hole cutters of the appropriate diameter for removing the old ones and inserting the new bushings. Then position the cup cutters and the threaded bar in order to create a real extractor: by tightening the nut, the smaller cup will push the bushing out of its seat. Use the same technique, in reverse, to insert the new bushing.

How to set the time on the Peugeot 308
