The procedure to replace the starter motor on a Volkswagen Golf involves opening the bonnet and completely disconnecting and removing the car battery from its housing. Once the battery is removed, access the underlying components by disconnecting the connectors and all the mounting bolts of the starter motor, allowing it to be removed from its housing. After the new starter motor is inserted and connected, reinstall the previously removed battery and close the bonnet.
