In this tutorial, you will learn how to remove the lock cylinder in a Volkswagen Golf, a very simple task. You will need a small flathead screwdriver and a Torx T20 key. First, open the door you will be working on, then detach the outer cover of the handle.

Next, remove the indicated rubber grommet along with the adhesive next to it, unscrew the bolt, and loosen the additional screw accessible through the hole. At this point, insert the key into the cylinder, pull it outward, and remove it from the door.
