Cleaning the Starter Switch Contacts

If the ignition key tends to jam and you often have difficulty both turning on the dashboard and starting the engine, it is likely that the problem lies in the contact switch located just behind the key block. To access it, remove the protective shells under the steering wheel (it is sufficient to unscrew the fixing screws with a star screwdriver), then disconnect the plug. At this point, if you want to remove the switch without taking apart the entire ignition block, you will need to find a way to unscrew the two fixing screws, which are a bit difficult to access. Once the switch is removed, clean the contacts with appropriate spray and reassemble.
