One of the most important scheduled maintenance tasks is replacing the timing belt, which should be done approximately every 62,000 miles or every 4 - 5 years (the exact intervals for each vehicle are listed in the manual). This task is certainly not for everyone, and it is highly recommended to have it performed by an authorised workshop.
