Where are the fuses located in the Golf 4

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

In the Golf IV, the first fuse box is located inside the cabin, on the far left side of the dashboard, driver's side. Open the cover using a small screwdriver, and you will find a fuse diagram inside the cover itself, showing the corresponding amperages. Among these are the fuses for indicator lights, fog lights, central locking, radio display, brake lights, interior courtesy lights, heated rear window, lighter, windscreen wipers, etc. In the box located in the engine compartment, you will find the fuses for the radiator fan, ABS, alternator, multifunction steering wheel, etc.

First, ensure the key is not inserted, then open the bonnet and move to the front of the left headlamp. Next, locate the bolt just behind the filter box and connect the positive terminal clamp to it.
