To replace the radio in a Volkswagen Passat, insert two thin objects, such as utility knives, into the two slots located at the sides of the device, next to the track change buttons. Once the two objects are inserted, pull the device from the top to extract it from its slot, then disconnect the connectors at the back. After completely removing the old radio, insert the new one, connecting it and securing it in its housing.
