Replacing the windscreen is certainly not a DIY repair as it requires specific equipment for removal and installation, and a simple misalignment in fitting could compromise its seal; first, detach the original windscreen using a special steel wire that acts as a knife; then remove all excess sealant, clean the edges of the windscreen attachment thoroughly with appropriate cleaner, apply primer, and then the special sealing adhesive, align the new windscreen using special suction handles and position it in its seat, centring it perfectly; once in position, it is also advisable to hold it in place with ratchet straps during the adhesive drying.
