Today's guide will show you the steps to disassemble and replace the battery in the key fob of the Volkswagen Golf. First, take your remote and start by removing the back cover of the fob, prying at the sides with something thin and pointed; this will give you access to the battery compartment, as shown in the video. At this point, remove and replace the battery with a new one of the correct type (in this case, a CR 2032 3V); insert it the right way round and reattach the plastic cover!
