If you have performed electrical work on your Volkswagen Polo - for example, replacing the radio - and turned on the ignition before reconnecting the airbag connector, it is likely that the airbag light remains on unnecessarily. This annoying issue can be resolved in two ways: either connect the cable to the OBD port located near the footwell, connect the corresponding USB to a laptop, and use the Volkswagen VDCS program, or purchase a diagnostic device available on Amazon for about £90, which works much more simply and immediately, as demonstrated by our YouTuber. Select your car's make, choose whether to perform an automatic or manual scan, then search for the device you want to scan - in this case, the airbag - where an error was found. Click OK and the error will be cleared.
