Automatic Transmission Oil and Filter Replacement

Model: Volkswagen Passat B6, 3C - Years 2005-2010

Maintaining the automatic transmission is often overlooked but is absolutely essential for preserving its proper functioning. Start by removing the battery and its support plate to access the gearbox and filter housing. Once the filter cartridge is removed, lift the vehicle, remove the splash guard, and unscrew the oil drain plug located under the gearbox. After draining, fill the transmission with clean oil through the filter housing (approximately 4.5 litres of oil) and install a new cartridge with the corresponding seal. Refit the battery, start the engine, and engage all gears at idle.
