Volkswagen Polo - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen Polo Polo 4, MK 4, Polo IV, 9N, MK IV - Years 2001-2009
Part: Diesel filter
Operation: How to replace the diesel filter

First locate and remove all the screws that secure the engine cover to the block and remove it as shown in the video, other models have the cover simply stuck. The video accurately indicates the position of the filter to be replaced, it is very important not to confuse the pipes of the fuel system, if necessary mark them before continuing, remove the pins by spreading them with your fingers and moving them until the pipes are free. Unscrew the bolt or screw, depending on the engine, that holds the filter in place and slide it upwards without removing the hoses yet. Take the new filter and check that the drain at the bottom is properly tightened before assembly. Now you can disconnect the fuel system pipes from the old filter and, being careful not to invert them, connect them to the new filter respecting its orientation, from the left you will find the inlet from the tank, the outlet towards the engine and the return, fill the new component with diesel otherwise you will not be able to start the car. Replace the gasket (o'ring) present and reposition all the cotter pins carefully, screw the filter back into its seat and take a test drive to check that everything works without leaks. The video examines Volkswagen and Audi TDI engines built before 2006

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
