How to Change Engine Oil and Filter on the Volkswagen Golf VII

In this video, you will see how to change the engine oil and filter on the Volkswagen Golf VII. Open the bonnet and remove the oil filler cap, then lift the vehicle to work underneath. Obtain a suitable container to drain the used oil, which you will dispose of correctly at an authorised centre. In the Golf VII, the filter is located at the top of the engine, so unscrew it and place it in a container. Clean the filter container, replace the seal (which you will moisten with a bit of new oil), and install the new filter. Ideally, the sump plug and seal should also be replaced. Close up once all the oil has drained, lower the vehicle, and refill with oil to the quantity specified in the user manual. Then, refit the filter. Start the engine and check the oil level. Top up if necessary.
