How to Replace the Gear Gaiter on a 2007 Volkswagen Polo?

Model: Volkswagen Polo MK IV, Polo IV, Polo 4, MK 4, 9N - Years 2001-2009

Before starting, gather a plastic lever, pliers, and two flathead screwdrivers, along with the new gaiter. Use the lever to remove the gaiter frame as shown in the video. Lift the gaiter and turn it inside out over the gear knob to expose the metal clip, which you will remove using the pliers and one of the screwdrivers. Pull the gear knob upwards and slide it off along with the gaiter. Move to a workbench and completely free the gaiter by removing the various clips (including the plastic ring). Now you can install the new gaiter by simply retracing your steps.
