How to Replace the Remote Battery on a Volkswagen Jetta?

To replace the battery in the remote for a Volkswagen Jetta, slide the key out from inside the device to leverage it in its housing. This will allow you to detach the cover on the back of the device, revealing the underlying battery. The old battery can now be extracted from its housing and replaced with a new one; after replacing, close the device by reinserting the key into the top and ensure everything functions correctly.
