Today's steps will guide you on how to dismantle and replace the battery of the key fob for the Volkswagen Jetta, as well as the Golf. First, take your key fob in hand and start by removing the plastic rear cover of the battery, using something thin and pointed to pry at the sides; then remove the battery found inside, as shown in the video.

At this point, install the new battery of the correct type (in this case, a CR2032 3V); insert it the right way round before refitting the plastic cover on the fob!
