In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the steering wheel on a Volkswagen Golf, a very simple operation. Before proceeding, open the bonnet and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to avoid accidental airbag activation. Start by going inside the cabin, then unclip the upper cover of the steering column. Locate the two holes that have just been freed and insert a thin screwdriver into them to unlock the airbag fixing clips. Next, separate the airbag from the steering wheel, disconnect the various connectors, and unscrew the large central bolt. To fit the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
