Do you want to replace the steering wheel on a Volkswagen Golf Mk4? Let's see in this guide how to proceed with the removal. Release the airbag clips (located at the back of the steering wheel as shown in the video), remove the airbag from the steering wheel. Unscrew the large bolt in the centre of the steering wheel, then remove it from the steering column. Once the old and damaged steering wheel is removed: insert the new steering wheel into the column (pass the power cable through) and begin to screw in the large central bolt. Tighten everything properly, then connect the horn wires and secure the steering wheel with the airbag. Test the correct installation of the parts fitted to the vehicle.
