How do you remove the ignition switch from a Volkswagen Golf Series 4? In this video, the procedure is explained: before removing the ignition switch, disconnect the battery power cables; unscrew the fastening screws of the side and lower cover of the steering wheel using a socket or screwdriver, then remove the screws present using a screwdriver.

Once the plastics are removed, take out the fastening pin of the ignition switch.

After extracting the lock, replace it with a new one. Reverse the assembly steps to reassemble.
