How to remove the radio from a Volkswagen Golf Mk5? Let's carefully see how to proceed with the removal. Using a plastic or metal lever, remove (levering) the plastic vents with the cover above the dashboard (disconnect the cable). Detach the glove compartment from the dashboard, then pull out the frame at the bottom of the stereo, unscrew the securing screws around the radio perimeter with a screwdriver. Finally, extract the radio from its housing, being careful not to damage its wiring. Reassemble the parts in reverse order.
