How to Remove the Fuel Pump from a Volkswagen Golf Mk5

How do you remove the fuel pump from a Volkswagen Golf Mk5? First, disconnect the battery cables, then remove the rear seat cushions of the car. Use a socket to unscrew the securing screws of the metal cap, and remove it from its seat. Use absorbent paper around the perimeter to soak up any fluid leaks. Unscrew the large securing pin of the fuel pump with a chisel, disconnect the power connectors and the liquid circulation hoses. Extract the floating fuel pump from its seat along with the attached parts. Finally, fit a new piece.
