Model: Volkswagen Golf
Golf 4, Golf IV, MK 4
- Years 1997-2003 Let's briefly see the instructions that will allow us to disassemble and replace the coolant temperature sensor of the Volkswagen Golf 1.8 GTI. First of all, we open the car's engine hood and start removing the upper plastic cover of the engine. Then, we locate the temperature sensor, which is found at the bottom of the engine compartment, disconnecting its electrical connector first, as shown in the video. At this point, we unscrew the temperature sensor to remove it and replace it with the new one, as well as with the original one. Then, we reassemble everything!
