Position the car on a lift and raise it to a suitable height for working underneath. Remove the rear wheel.

Disconnect the two cables for the brake operation and oil supply using the appropriate spanner. Now use the correct spanners to detach the brake pad housing (one bolt underneath and one above the housing).

At this point, you can fit the new part for the brake pad housing in the same position. The sequence of assembly operations is the same as before, following a reverse order.

The car on which the replacement is taking place is a Volkswagen Golf.

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins.
