How to Replace the Rear Brake Pad Housing

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

Position the car on a lift and raise it to a suitable height for working underneath. Remove the rear wheel. Disconnect the two cables for the brake operation and oil supply using the appropriate spanner. Now use the correct spanners to detach the brake pad housing (one bolt underneath and one above the housing). At this point, you can fit the new part for the brake pad housing in the same position. The sequence of assembly operations is the same as before, following a reverse order. The car on which the replacement is taking place is a Volkswagen Golf.
