How to replace the battery of the Golf 7 with start & stop.

In this video tutorial, the procedure for replacing the battery of the Volkswagen Golf 7 is shown. The procedure is quite simple and fast, and it is the same as other car models, only the battery type changes because the Golf 7 has the start & stop system that requires a different type of battery. The procedure is as follows: open the hood, unscrew the battery support plate with a 13 socket wrench with an extension to reach the fastening bolt of the plate, disconnect the negative terminal using a 10 wrench, once the negative terminal is disconnected, disconnect the positive terminal. At this point, remove the old battery and insert the new one, then close everything by reconnecting the two terminals and putting back the fastening bar.

Fuse Assignment on a Volkswagen Polo

The vehicle in question is equipped with two fuse boxes. The first is located in the cabin just below the steering column behind a plastic cover, while the second is found in the engine compartment above the battery. Below are the main fuses present in the box inside the cabin: onboard computer fuse, ABS fuse, ECU fuse, windscreen wiper motor fuse, fuel pump fuse, cruise control fuse, cabin lighting fuse, front and rear headlight fuses, washer motor fuse, and parking assistance system fuse.
