Repairing the Shark Fin Antenna on the Volkswagen Tiguan

If you accidentally removed the roof antenna (also known as the 'shark fin') from your Volkswagen Tiguan while in a garage, this video is for you. First, clean the roof of the vehicle thoroughly and pull out the electrical connector. In the meantime, obtain a fantastic liquid plastic soldering tool, code B01MR7J5ZX, which will be used to re-solder the tabs of the connectors that may have broken upon impact with the garage door. Next, to access the electrical part, gently open the headlining from the rear just enough to reach the internal connector. After applying adhesive silicone to the underside of the shark fin, reach inside and refit the central fixing screw. Now reconnect the electrical part. It’s time to use the liquid plastic soldering tool to reconnect the plastic tabs that had broken. Finally, replace the headlining back into its seals. Job done.
