In this tutorial, we can see how to replace the gear knob in the Volkswagen Golf, a very simple and quick operation. First of all, let's go inside the car, then we remove the base of the gear lever boot by levering it possibly with a plastic spatula, so as not to leave any marks. Once this is done, we unhook the metal fixing band using pliers, grip the old gear knob and separate it from the shaft by rotating it forcefully in both directions.
