Resetting the Service Light on the Volkswagen Golf

After performing routine maintenance on your Volkswagen Golf, you need to reset the Service light that appears on the instrument panel. To do this, sit in the driver's seat, press and hold the button located at the bottom left of the speedometer, and turn the ignition key to power up the instruments without starting the engine. After five seconds, release the button, turn the lever one click to the right located under the rev counter, and turn off the instrument panel. Upon the next restart, the Service light will be reset.
