To replace the battery in a Volkswagen Golf remote, you will need a flat object and a pointed one. A flathead screwdriver and a precision screwdriver or similar tools will suffice. You will also need a new battery of the same type as the one you are replacing. Use the flathead screwdriver to pry open the side of the remote to remove the cover that closes the compartment where the battery is housed. This can be removed with the help of the precision screwdriver. Once the battery is replaced, simply reposition the cover back in place.
