How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Volkswagen Up?

To replace the timing belt on a Volkswagen Up, open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the left side, you will find the side cover of the engine, which must be removed by loosening the fixing screws. This will allow you to locate the underlying belt, which can be extracted by sliding off the tensioner roller; at this point, you can fit the new belt around the pulleys, reinsert the tensioner roller, and check the engine's operation.
