Volkswagen Up - Video tutorial

Model: Volkswagen Up MK 1 - Years 2011-2024
Part: Timing belt
Operation: When to replace the timing belt of the Volkswagen Up 1.0 MPI.

Today's guide will show us useful information regarding the replacement of the timing belt for the Volkswagen Up 1.0 MPI, as well as for the Seat Mii, Skoda Citigo, and other main vehicles of the Volkswagen group with the same engine. The timing belt, for this type of engine, is of the "long life" type and therefore only requires an inspection around 120,000 kilometers and a possible replacement after 240,000 kilometers or 10 years. If it is not possible to reach this mileage, it will be necessary to replace it after the time interval prescribed by the manufacturer.

How to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo

Let's see in this short and simple guide the instructions that will allow us to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo. First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
