Resetting the Service Light on the Volkswagen Passat

Here are the instructions to reset the service light for the routine maintenance oil change on the Volkswagen Passat. First, get in the vehicle and press and hold the button found on the right side of the instrument cluster; then turn on the ignition by turning the key to position one. At this point, rotate the button found on the left side of the instrument cluster, thus resetting the service kilometres and permanently clearing the warning light on the dashboard; finally, turn off the ignition and start the engine!
