In this video, you can see where the camshaft position sensor is located in the Volkswagen Polo and how to proceed if you need to replace it, which is a very simple task. As shown, the sensor is positioned on the upper side of the engine, just below the plastic cover that needs to be removed.

Once this is done, you can disconnect the power connector, undo the single fixing bolt, and extract the sensor from its housing. Before proceeding, ensure that the engine is completely cold to operate safely.
