If the locks do not activate when pressing the buttons on the remote, it is likely that the internal battery (CR 2032) has run out; replacing it is straightforward as the remote part is fitted into the metal key holder like a drawer: simply lever in the designated slot to slide the remote part back from the key holder; once extracted, separate the two halves and you can remove the old battery and insert the new one, ensuring the correct polarity.
