When you need to tow a caravan or trailer, it is essential to fit a tow bar to your Volkswagen Golf. Fitting the tow bar follows a relatively simple procedure. First, open the boot and remove the rear bumper and the stop lights.

Once removed, you can take out the main crossmember, which will be replaced with the tow bar. To secure the tow bar, you will need a torque wrench to tighten the nuts. Once finished, you can reattach the bumper without needing to make any cuts.
