On the Volkswagen Touareg, the boot lid may become stuck, for example, due to a fault with the control button or the lock actuator. In these cases, it is still possible to perform an emergency opening by following the simple procedure shown in the video.

First, open the rear doors, then fully lower the backrest of the seat and access the boot. Next, remove the panel located at the bottom of the tailgate, locate the indicated plastic lever, and pull it downwards.

The tailgate will now be free to open and, if necessary, repaired.
