In this tutorial we can see how to remove the steering wheel in the Volkswagen Crafter van, an extremely simple and quick operation. Before proceeding, we open the engine compartment and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, in order to avoid accidental activation of the airbag. We start by turning the steering wheel 90 degrees to the left, then locate the hole on the back of it and, using a flat-tip screwdriver, unlock the airbag fastening clip. We then remove the airbag from its housing, disconnect the connector and unscrew the large central bolt with an XZN key.
