To reset the Service light on the Volkswagen Golf, turn on the instrument cluster using the appropriate button to navigate within the menu. Use the directional arrow buttons located on the right side of the steering wheel.

At this point, select the "Driving time/distance" option and then "Since start": this will allow you to press and hold the OK button to completely reset the Service light. After completing the operation, you can turn off the instrument cluster.
