How do you replace the steering wheel airbag of the Volkswagen Polo?

In order to replace the steering wheel airbag of the Volkswagen Polo, you need to use a lever to release the pins that secure the airbag to its housing: these hooks will be found in the back of the steering wheel, immediately behind the two spokes. Once the hooks have been removed, you can proceed to remove the airbag from its seat by disconnecting the underlying connectors; once the airbag has been released, you can then connect the new one so that it can be inserted into its seat and secured.
